Roc Oil's Bajiaochang Gas Field Achieves Record Daily Output of 4.26 MMCM

On April 21, Roc Oil's Bajiaochang Gas Field achieved a record daily output of 4.26 million cubic meters, representing an 18% increase from the previous peak and setting a new historical record just one month later. Production is expected to further increase after the partner's natural gas processing plant completes commissioning and new wells at Bajiaochang are put into operation.

This production increase was made possible through a cooperation agreement reached after in-depth discussions between the project team and partners, allowing part of Bajiaochang's wet gas to directly enter the partner's natural gas processing plant, thereby unlocking Bajiaochang's production capacity. To achieve this goal, the team conducted advance planning, optimized retrofitting solutions, and carefully arranged production enhancement work.

On April 17, the J25 metering system upgrade and dry/wet gas separation retrofit project were completed. To ensure construction could be completed smoothly without affecting existing gas supply, the project team developed a detailed plan, conducted multiple site surveys, cross-reviewed construction plans, evaluated and optimized solutions from different perspectives, and prefabricated key components in advance, effectively compressing the construction period. Through joint efforts, the team successfully completed three projects simultaneously: the J110-T connection point, J25 commercial metering system, and dry/wet gas separation retrofit. An innovative "dual-regulator valve" system was introduced, combining pressure regulating valves with flow control valves, enabling dynamic allocation of gas sources from the J58 well area to both the DPP facility and the partner's plant, maximizing single-well productivity. At the same time, by properly scheduling the retrofit timing, production loss during the retrofitting period was significantly reduced from an estimated 800,000 cubic meters to just 150,000 cubic meters.

The production team continued process optimization to increase gas supply. To fully tap the potential of aging wells, four old wells (J70 and J74) were brought back into production, adding over 200,000 cubic meters of daily output. Tailored solutions including compressor-assisted production were developed for different aging well characteristics. The J77 aging well pressurization project was launched, increasing production by over 90,000 cubic meters and accumulating valuable experience for future production enhancement of aging wells.
